Canada 03/10/2022 11:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Beware the Ides of March! Julius Caesar - "Well, the Ides of March are come", implying that the prophecy had not been fulfilled, to which the seer replied "Aye, they are come, but they are not gone."
That and it's my birthday, turning 50 and having been born on such a prophetic doom day has even me a bit squeamish with the current world events.
Makes me wonder if I was born that day to witness prophecy being fulfilled... what a mind fuck that would be. |

Thanks AC! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76502005 It's the first new moon of the Roman Calander and I'm sure there is some superstitious beliefs or truths around it, so will dig. Well, this history write up on the Ides tells us that once it was a time for celebration and the start of a new year but was somehow turned ominous due to the writings of Shakespeare and now pop-culture. [ link to www.history.com (secure)] |
