The old limerick comes to mind. 'He who smelt it, dealt it.' Like someone said in a few threads..."Same as it ever was." Anonymous Coward User ID: 80586114 Canada 03/11/2022 03:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | China says US used its computers for cyberattacks on Russia, Ukraine Quoting: The Bulgarian SHANGHAI: China has experienced continuous cyberattacks since February in which internet addresses in the United States have been used to seize control of Chinese computers to target Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, state news agency Xinhua said on Friday. It cited the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT/CC), a cybersecurity technical centre that leads efforts to prevent and detect cybersecurity threats to the country. "Monitoring by the CNCERT/CC found that since late February, China's internet has continuously faced cyberattacks from abroad. These overseas groups attacked by taking control of computers in the country to carry out cyber attacks on Russia, Ukraine and Belarus," it quoted the centre as saying. "After analysis, most the addresses for these attacks came from the United States," it said, adding that a few came from other countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. Honestly, when I think about this thing, American Psycho comes to mind. Out of touch, totally retarded people who can't even remember who each other are. People mistaking people for other people. People forgetting who friends were/are. This guy got Tucker Carlson's own son into a prestigious college only to be viciously turned on ostensibly. Whatever the real truth is we'll never know I guess. I knew much better though. "I'm not Davis, I'm Patrick Bateman........" |

The US would like nothing more than to drive a wedge between China and Russia, as their partnership is still nascent, shakey, and born of mutual necessity. Alternatively, for those very same reasons, China could be launching those attacks itself in an attempt to compromise and surveil critical Russian network infrastructure so that it can easily cripple or threaten Russia prior to turning on them. China's end goal is a pan-asian empire and it's doubtful that they would let a nation as powerful as Russia maintain its autonomy in the region without China having some sort of leverage against them. China may very well repeat the actions of Nazi Germany and strike when their alliance has outlived its usefulness. The Alkahest A Meta-sapient Godelian Recursion Engine. Super Fun at Parties. Quoting: The Alkahest Communism and China suck but who has the history of never ending unprovoked wars and coups, China or the US? I'm sure all countries do cyber warfare but, as you point out, the US (and UK) have motivation to cause animosity between China and Russia. Recall, too, that Snowden said the US used methods to make it look like their cyber attacks were coming from other countries. In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |
