Probably 10 other things..but he got covid and now thats the only reason OP can come up with.

Pray they don't kill him in the ICU.

People don't die from covid, they die from the vaxx or the ICU treatment.

His mistake was going to a hospital.

Sorry that cost him his life.

He has diabetes, and blood pressure issues. Clots in his lungs and at least one in his aorta.

His vitals look good right now and he is resting.

They have him on a blood thinner, a steroid and antibiotics.

He's resting now.

The doc told me today that once someone's lungs get in this bad of shape they rarely come back.
