I don't see the Russians hitting major population centres. Not that it would matter that much in the bigger scheme of things mind you.

We have seen with Ukraine the Russians are reluctant to go down the route of Total War to achieve military objectives. I dont believe the stories of them massacring civilians.

I have a feeling the Russians will hit only military installations, near their borders, and weapons Shipments with tactical nukes to get US/NATO attention at first.
