It wasn't unprovoked. The Ukrainian regime has murdered more than 16000 ethnic Russians in Ukraine. The Zelensky regime controlled media stated that all Russians should be killed and that they are worthless. Is this not a provocation in your eyes? Russia has tried to fix the situation without an intervention, but the West refused to stop the crimes against Russians.

I used to think this too but some things don't add up.

I think the lack of mentions of human trafficking from the Russian side against the Ukrainian side is a crucial clue that something is a bit off.

Just a friendly reminder there were TWO elections held in Ukraine in 1991. The first one voted 93% to stay with Soviet Union. The 9 months later (and probably a buttload of work from the CIA) the 2nd election was held for unknown reasons and miraculously it was 95% of going independent.

Imagine if Russia went into Texas and orchestrated a rebellion, put together a puppet government then later implemented a bunch of bio-weapon labs and then try to join a gang that included China, Russia, Iran, Cuba, North Korea so that the gang could protect them from the US. As part of this protection they installed several missiles pointing at the US. Any native Texans that opposed the new Republic of Texas were jailed or killed.

That is what Putin is facing with Ukraine.
