Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78241682 That's a really well written and convincing reply; however, that is the US Defense Department which has compiled the numbers through the past four presidential administrations. Russia hasn't released any numbers since after the first week of the invasion, obviously because they would not look good and it would be very demoralising for both the troops and for the families back home that are receiving body bags. Dod fudged numbers all the time tard. I worked for their SoG for years. Hate to burst your tiny reality bubble Yet before you were corrected, you said the numbers were from a Ukrainian site. Sure, we believe you. Shill on... They are dick bag. Where do you think dod is getting its numbers from... bwahahahaha it could be accurate, who knows? we have given them thousands of hand held missiles |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77203037 United States 03/18/2022 12:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As the war enters its fourth week, the Russian offensive has stalled. And the scale of Russian losses is becoming clear. The Kremlin on March 2 copped to losing fewer than 500 troops killed in action and another 1,500 wounded. The Ukrainian defense ministry a few days ago posited a much higher total: a combined 12,000 Russians “lost”—presumably meaning killed, wounded or captured. The U.S. Defense Department’s own tally falls between these extremes. The Pentagon on March 8 estimated the Russians had suffered between 2,000 and 4,000 KIAs. In any event, thousands of fatalities over a period of two or three weeks in a force of 200,000 is unsustainable. There surely are many wounded for every dead. Captives likely number in the hundreds. Survivors of defeated units undoubtedly are traumatized and incapable of fighting. Worse, the KIAs probably are concentrated in front-line units. Infantry. Armor. Artillery. Those combat arms represent a minority of the invasion force. It’s entirely possible that, in combat units along the front, losses exceed half. All that is to say, the Russian army is hurt, bad. It should come as no surprise, then, that the ground assault petered out in recent days. The army “seems to be busy hauling whatever reinforcements it can find to the front lines in Ukraine, and replacing mauled units of its first echelon with fresh units of the second,” Cooper wrote. The problem is that second-line units from Russia’s eastern frontier, inflated by a few thousand Chechens and Syrian mercenaries, probably can’t fully restore the invasion force. If they becomes clear. I think they will go to the peace table and announce that they have successfully demilitarized Ukraine, killed all the "Nazis" and go home, thus Putin can try to save face. |

They have captured nuclear power plants, all deepwater ports 90% of the Coal mines, 100% of the oil pipelines, 80% of the wheat farms! I do think the new equipment that the UK, NATO and the US are sending in this week, might give them the power to start driving Russia backwards.. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77203037 I think the other part of the deal would likely be Ukraine allowing the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic to be assimilated by Russia. They are both a real problem for Ukraine and also communist leaning, which will never play out well in the future, Allowing them to be annexed by Russia would both be face saving for Putin and Zel,enski - allowing Zelenski that he gave up a concession. |

Quoting: honorable man Ukraine has a lot better equipment then the afghanis had during their war, and better trained military. So I'm guessing these figures are pretty close. I'm guessing closer to the pentagon figures on number of dead but Ukraine definitely has the equipment to take out the tanks and choppers |
