What will you do to get by if severe hyperinflation hits?

My life is such that I can get by on extremely little.

I believe I can tolerate high inflation.

Hopefully, I'll see it coming, and do these things beforehand:
1) Pay off all variable-rate credit. (already done)
2) Get a garden started. (already done)
3) Buy as much as I can of things I'll need in the long run. (I'm a prepper already)
4) Put my extra money, no matter where it is, into crypto, and maybe also things I can barter. (partially done)

Once it hits, I'll do these things:
1) Don't buy anything I can do without.
2) Make friends with people who can be of mutual help.
3) Use my credit cards, but always pay the purchases as close to under 30 days as possible. This way I'll be buying things cheaper than they will be 30 days later, with no interest.
4) Assuming my pay goes up somewhat, pay off my mortgage as soon as possible. This is because fixed rates may be allowed to increase eventually.
5) Think of cheaper ways to do anything necessary.
6) Keep my precious metals until the hyperinflation is over.

Max the credit cards out buying tangible assets, then default. Pay the unsecured debt, deficiency judgement or not, for pennies on the dollar, or don't, and let it fall off your report after 7-8 years without ever acknowledging the debt. No debtor prisons in the states, and everything mentioned is 100% legal by their own system.

Still hold the tangible assets while they creep in price. Convert as needed for necessities as inflation pushes up prices.

Rice, oatmeal, and more rice.

We have solar panels, so we can watch some movies or play video games during the day...even if the power and internet goes out.


Honestly other than losing social media, life wouldn't change all that much! hahaha

don't kid yourself other people are not responsible, hyper inflation entails a cataclysm for ordinary society because the vast majority of people are short sighted and oblivious to the danger. this will manifest itself as danger for you, and anyone they resent for not sharing their misery, you will become an object of jealousy an anger to them.

no one will enjoy what is coming in any earthly sense. it is going to suck no matter if you are prepared or not.

Will suck less for those that are well armed and prepared, in a community atmosphere. I imagine there are "many" chomping at the bit for certain conditions to arise within society. Darwinism and such.

As survivalist you will learn in practice that most of the things you learning were just bullshit from other people sitting on the couch and eating Doritos from the supermarket.

basically this.

the idea we can just hunt and forage and garden while the world around us disintegrates is ridiculous. the world that gets 80 or 90% of its calories from monocrop big AG. the world that will rip your legs off to get a can of beans.

the natural world is about gone, and only their ultra artificial synthetic systems will remain to feed the masses their pink slime chicken nuggets made of bugs and liquified homeless people.

I embraced minimalism quite awhile ago.

doesnt matter what you can survive on. you dont live in a vacuum. you wont get to just carry on in post ww2 prosperity while your neighbors are stripping out copper from the abandoned house next to yours.

That won’t happen where I live.
