All I can say without getting in trouble is this. Cnidaria.
One other thing I can say is how it influences conscious behavior. We have a theory going at the moment based on the OrchOr quantum theory.
The fungus infects the glial cell networks of the brain, directly impeding brain function, but also gaining access to it. This part will be a bit cryptic, but it relates to my first sentence. Fungus uses multiple forms of melanin structures in an electromagnetic manner. Think about how that could relate to tapping into your neuron networks.
