Hi OP Wanted your opinion on something. I've always wondered if the Atkins diet's effectiveness has to do with the emphasis on avoiding sugar on which fungus feeds. Your opinion?
One more thing. Do you have any experience or experimentation with olive leaf extract for an antifungal? Previous to your regimen, olive leaf was one of my favorites. Thanks
Quoting: rammsteinregeln We have not considered olive leaf since we were looking for two things: potency via inhibition (MIC) and balanced activity against the 3 major threats. Those threats are Candida, Aspergillus and Cryptococcus. This study shows that olive leaf was tested on 30 fungal strains and provided inhibitory results on 7 of 30. [ link to onlinelibrary.wiley.com (secure)] You can see here that olive leaf is effective against Candida a. But pay attention to the MIC value. [ link to www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov (secure)] Now compare that to the minimum inhibitory concentration of Oregano. [ link to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov (secure)] This example shows that Oregano Oil is 100 times more potent. This is important, because then we need to translate those values into human dosages. Hopefully this helps.
