An important update for any women who are not seeing quick benefit on the nac protocol.

Due to difference in body chemistry, some women will not react as positively on the nac protocol. The solution is changing the way the glutathione is processed. LE makes a product specifically for this called Glutathione, Cysteine & C. We're seeing this work as intended for women who are having lackluster results with normal nac. The rest of the protocol stays the same.

Hi OP,

Thanks for the great info in this thread. Have a couple of questions...

1. in regard to the above, is the GCC same as the NAC if replacing (ie 1200mg morn, 600mg night)? If not, what is?

2. If you’re internally over run (crossed gut barrier), could you start seeing more external fungal infections while on the protocol? (Fungus dying and trying to escape??)

3. Could the protocol act differently in peri/menopausal women? (Such as rise in blood pressure, fatigue...)

Thanks in advance

Op here.

For the l-cysteine supplement, which we recommend for women who either react to nac or don't see any benefit, the dosage would be 2 caps morning 1 cap night. Everything else would remain the same.

As far as seeing more fungal infections as die off occurs, it's not uncommon to see symptoms. Usually this is localized pain or soreness where a colony is dying off, which causes a short round of inflammation in that area. We've heard some pretty varied feedback, including rashes, nerve pain, etc.

As far as menopausal, there is an effect on the hormones, but for women it has a balancing effect. You may see benefit with hot flashes, general mood and wellbeing. You will likely see lower blood pressure on the protocol, so keep that in mind. If you are on medications to control that, please consult with your doctor first. We've seen this reverse hypertension in short time, which is pretty amazing but also a reason to be cautious if on medications.
