I'm posting another info dump. This time I'll be discussing the link to heart disease.

Candida can be involved in endocarditis, peritonitis, pericarditis, and myocarditis. I also spoke briefly before on how Candida directly contributes to clogged arteries when it invades the blood. Now, let's dig in.

The threat fungus creates comes in multiple forms at once. The first threat is inflammation, which also can cause other veinal disorders like arteriosclerosis. The second threat are enzymes that Candida excretes. And the third threat are how the body attempts to defend itself, making the problem worse.

First, have a look at how easy it is for Candida to cause heart disease. In peritonitis, this study shows that simple Candida colonization or antibiotic use can be the cause:

Now imagine how many cases of peritonitis are not diagnosed properly as caused by fungal infection. This next study shows endocarditis being caused primarily by candida, but also aspergillus.

Dr. A.V. Constantini M.D published a book called Fungalbionics that covers the link between fungal infection of the blood and high cholesterol levels. Originally it was thought that high cholesterol was the cause of blocked arteries, but now we know the reason. Inflammation and an autoimmune response where the body encapsulates fungal cells in cholesterol cause the blockage of arteries.

Candida can also directly cause heart palpitations. The constant excretion of ammonia, acetaldehyde and gliotoxin are the culprits. Over time, intra and extracellular levels of magnesium are depleted which is important to break down candida's mycotoxins and regulate cell repair. This imbalance causes issues with the way the heart regulates contractions through a magnesium and calcium deficiency.

This whole process starts when the fungus enters the blood system and CNS. In the previous info dump, we showed how easy candida, cryptococcus and aspergillus can accomplish this. Candida can escape the gut, enter through medical procedures, or be pre established during or prior to birth. Aspergillus and Cryptococcus can move from spore inhalation directly into the CNS and bloodstream. This can happen in healthy people as well.
