Right now we're experimenting with higher dosages, so nothing is changing at the moment. Adding oregano oil to the maintenance stack is very effective, yes. It does improve fungistatic/fungicidal activity both immediately and over time. It's an option for those that wish to go above and beyond.
For an average person without the gene defects (familial candidiasis) the standard maintenance protocol will be enough, but for people who have deeper CNS infections of the nerves, joints or brain it's a good idea to continue with oregano oil into maintenance until joint and nerve symptoms subside, or as additional preventative maintenance.

Oregano oil is the perfect candidate to clear fungus from the body, rebalance the gut, restore the gut barrier and eliminate bad bacteria. Sometimes you may begin to feel worse randomly after feeling better as mature biofilms break down and begin a new fight. This is normal. It can take a few months to get rid of these films and you will have ups and downs occasionally. Oregano oil isn't meant to be a long term solution. The maintenance protocol replaces that with resveratrol, which is also a powerful antifungal. Assuming you clear out enough during the nac protocol, it should not be needed. You can then use Oregano Oil periodically for days when you get food poisoning, days when you eat very bad food, etc.
