To be fair, it's easy to understand why a persistent Rapture-hater would be most reluctant to discuss that because it's hard to imagine a more terrifying prospect to face. Imagine one day suddenly there is some mass catastrophe. Massive death and destruction everywhere. Then you happen to notice a few people can't be found. Then a few more people remain unaccounted for. Maybe your daughter or maybe your brother. As it happens, you knew them to all be good, decent Christian people, some of them mostly quiet and some very outspoken, but all Jesus believers as it happens. Then, as some communications are re-established and more reports accumulated, it does seem to be that, in the midst of all the mass deaths and destruction, it seems that many Christians everywhere are somehow missing, as if they just disappeared or something... And then you realize it really may be true. The Rapture really may have just happened... Imagine if all the arguments are thus made moot, because here you are, here you remain. You're not dead. Many, many are dead. But now what? These people are of all ages any races and countries from all around the world. Every kind of people.
