This always makes me laugh...

First of all to scan for a Mac address you have to already be ON a network.. What are they using to scan? lol I don't think understands what a true MAC address is. I think OP is talking about BT identifiers and is scanning using an app on his phone. BT identifier is exactly what I am talking about. It looks like a standard mac address. Are you saying BT identifiers randomly change to new addresses? When bluetooth is turned on via someones laptop or mobile, it will display the device name and not the identifier. So why is it that my bluetooth scanner is picking up new Identifiers repeatedly, me being in close proximity to the same person????
