As in brought to you by the CIA/MI6 etc, probably. Sri Lanka has been a pro-China government since they helped the Buddhists beat down and buy off the Hindu Tamils enough to end the insurgency. China has a naval base there since then. Technically it's just a port but China has used Hambantota Port as a defacto naval base. They've been getting that "Belt and Road" money, which is huge. |
