The iron bottomed ones yeah. This has been known for at least 10 years. Just cuz you bolt a turbo to an iron 5.3 and make 800hp doesn't mean you are gonna run 10.9 in grandma's Studebaker. You need so much bracing and upgrading to handle that power and flex.

5.3 with 450hp at 12lbs is plenty and can be put in things like miatas, 240s, rx7s, and 300zx without having to change much.

Yeah my 2007 Vette LS2 (400)loafs along at 80mph, 1800 rpm getting 28 mpg and should run low 12's, not sure.

2007 is the all around best bang for the buck, stock motor spins the tires in first when it hits 4000 rpm, gotta feather it or shift.
