Of course, the Central Banks need the crypto version of Monopoly money, that they control the issuance of.

That's all this is. Digital funny money.

Buy Bitcoin... and Bitcoin only.

They need to get rid of cash so they can continue the roll out of the mark of the beast system.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2967778

It's all about control, and with so many Christians believing the writings of John, they have to do it gradually.

I use mostly digital currencies (credit and debit) now, and all my purchases are permanently recorded.

Crooks aways find a way around the system, so this new system will only really have an effect on regular people's social score, and if they buy things that make them look antisocial, red flags will go up.

We don't have much privacy left now as it is.

It will be interesting to see what happens in Third World Countries and digital dollars. This might make digital dollars a lot more popular, but to use them people in Third World Countries will have to get bank accounts.

Bitcoin is more than likely a CIA creation, as suggested by the rumors.

I think it's all to get people used to using digital wallets.

My iPhone has a digital wallet, and I've never looked at it. I tried to delete it, but it won't delete.

The U.S. is going digital one way or another. It's just a matter of time.

"They" (US gov) are gonna use the already established USDC developed by American company Circle.

This will for the much talked about "public-private" solution.

Using the XRP ledger for world trade, every country will have their own digital currency that interacts with the ledger.

We're fucked

It is time to abandon this criminal Federal government. Refuse to pay taxes and either have a convention of the states or secession because they are destroying our currency right in front of us. Real estate abiyt to pop, dollar about to die and the dye has already been cast, it is inevitable. Sell property, buy silver and food and water. This is your final warning.

Re: E CASH Act HR 7231
anyone remember getting that envelope of cash with a taxes
withheld stub every payday? then it was just a paper check that you took to the bank and in return you received another piece of paper/stub of deposit back, then you took it home and wrote different amounts from that piece of paper/stub on a bunch of other pieces of paper(checks) to send out and pay bills, next came direct deposit and debit cards and now every day most just swipe a card for goods and services and everything in between, see where i am going with this? they have been easing us into this cashless system for a long time so this shouldn't surprise anyone at all but just remember that we let it happen, we or most of us moved away from cash because it was so convenient! it's the old boil the frog slowly affect and we jumped right on in the warm bath and stayed till it was too late!

The Federal Reserve is not our Treasury, it is a private bank that is into fiat money of any kind to keep their power. I don't want them involved in things, and they wreck everyone's lives.

I see this as causing serious unrest among many:

This would require the user to have a smart phone.

While I use paper currency, all my accounts are also on my phone. My Samsung digital account is in there to be scanned at retailers when I make a purchase.

It also has a black bank card with my name on the obverse and no number whatsoever on the reverse. It is for use at businesses with obsolete CC terminals that cannot read an encrypted NFC CC card from the phone.

The account itself, however can only be managed and accessed via a smart phone, no Internet website exists for it.

Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.
