I know that GLP isn't exactly Central Asia-preoccupied, but there is history here. The USA Government has been snaking around trying to dislodge PM Khan. There is history here going back to Bangladesh' war for independence in 1971. You have never been told about actions taken at that time by the USA Government. Imran Khan is a fierce patriot. And he is reasonable, in other words not particularly interested in being bought off or intimidated by a foreign power for their interests or historical entitlements.

I wouldn't be so quick to come to that conclusion.

We have yet to see the western backed jihadists show up and start a civil war. I would say that will be next on the playbook if the US has a real interest in removing Khan.

The west can't help but use the same playbook they used in Syria, Libya, Ukraine, Egypt, etc.

If Russia or China doesn't show up and come to his aid, he may be toast.
