I find this pretty fascinating but I do want to point out that the problem with always accusing the resistance of being controlled opposition is that if an actual resistance rises you'll never believe it.

At some point you just have to have faith that the resistance is real and, if, on the other side of this they prove themselves not to be legitimate then the fight continues until the real resistance rises.

The key is the population doesnt give in until the rulers are those who recognize the solution to every problem is whatever gives the most amount of people the most amount of freedom and wealth.
