Why does it matter what you label yourself as, or what religion you follow.


Some of you know the Bible and talk about it. Some of you know the Bible and don’t talk about it.


These are Bible passages about mercy and compassion. And our love for others.

Here is some scripture that can benefit us all regardless of our religion:

Proverbs 19:17

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”

Proverbs 14:31

“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.”

Proverbs 22:9

“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”

1 John 3:17-18

“But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”

Isaiah 58:10

“And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday”


Luke 14 : 12-14

“He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”


Galatians 6:12
