A friend of mine walks around various neighborhoods of Tokyo at all hours of the night, never feels threatened, he's not Japanese.

Unlikely that this is a common occurrence for anyone in Japan. About as likely (probably less) as some ignorant young people doing it to someone in America because theyre a different color.

People in the US are getting murdered, robbed, raped, run over, etc.

But ignore all that, let's all worry about Japanese being rude to each other.

They love to grunt, and cough do huge sneezes at people like foreigners and wave arms around or put arms to hair or face to look bigger or distract, or just for some kind of shock effect. There was a post about how they love to drop objects and bang things around foreigners to cause shocks. Especially if you are a wite. There was also a thread about how when they walk in groups they do this huge laugh at the same time you pass by them. All designed to make themselves feel better or because they need to do it around wite foreigners. Weird as stuff. Arounds Japs never relax.

I don't know about Japanese people but based on my own personal observations of Chinese nationals visiting the USA (Disneyland, other tourist locales) some of them are downright DISGUSTING, sneezing without covering, mocking white locals etc.
