I still maintain that Trump was the best president in my lifetime and many generations before.

That said, I would pick DeSantis in a heartbeat.

Trump is compromised by a number of factors.

As Roger Stone said, he's not curious and doesn't look beyond his bubble. He relies upon entirely upon his inner circle and close associates (many of whom are very obviously compromised) for his information, and they tell him or withold what they want to influence him. He's not a look-behind-the-curtain kind of guy.

He's too "star struck". While he may have good intentions, he makes extremely poor character judgements based upon fame and popularity. Unfortunately, those stars he wants to be associated with are all part of the same evil machine that wants to destroy us - Fauci, Oz, etc. - case in point.

Age. Sorry, but he's worn out, and while it's impressive that he maintains a high energy and can deliver a performance, it's not at all helping with the aforementioned points.

I will still vote for him if the running is a bunch of other system RINOs, but I would take DeSantis in a heartbeat, were he an option.

In any case, it's all moot. Elections are over. We are on year 2 of the babbling usurper who was installed in an election that was stolen in the most blatantly obvious way imaginable and we all just laid down and took it with little more than a spate of foot stomping and protest.

They got away with it.
They got away with masking and lockdowns.
They said "screw your freedoms" and effectively showed us they can and will suspend the constitution on a whim and we will do nothing but piss and moan about it.

I will still vote, but I know it's nothing more than a gesture and a sticker for my dashboard. The sacred institution of the vote is a dead, zombified husk and relic of a fallen democratic republic.

If they think properly they could lock it up for 20 years.

Does Desantis have any cool slogans like "drain the swamp" or "lock her up"?

He needs cool slogans to influence people to elect him! People dont care about actions, they care about cool slogans!

Trump kind of lost me with pushing the vaccine, his association with Epstein and Maxwell and his inability to "drain the swamp". DeSantis has done well by Florida during this time and was a lone voice of reason with so much of the Covid BS.
