Unboosted students at Emory University had their internet access limited, resulting in slower Wi-Fi and blocked access to websites like social media.

Emory university is in Georgia for those who dont know.
Students paying 60 grand to be discriminated against in Georgia.

Imagine paying 60k a year and not realizing you can just get a good cell phone plan and set your cell phone up as a hotspot.

Makes no sense and they will end up throwing this out. They should be ashamed of themselves for this. Even places like Los Angeles are returning to normal now. Why would this be happening at a private school in Georgia?

That seems very illegal but a simple solution would be for them to not depend on dormitory internet and get their own cellular phone plan.

In the article's comment section, people raised that possibility. But it may only apply if the students signed some kind of contract for services they would be receiving. If it's not in the contract, which it wouldn't be, they would have a case. If no contract, perhaps the university can change services provided as they see fit.
