red ants like decaying red meat and sugars..
distract them with a sacrifice pile away from your house?

evil plan:

put diatomaceous earth around sacrifice pile
it cuts up their exoskeletons.

for the queen, i recommend borax coated in molasses.
the worker ants will collect this treat and present it to their queen.
if she eats it (and she probably will), the boron in the borax interacts with the formic acid in her gut and causes her to EXPLODE. translation = end of colony.

oh they might persist for awhile without their queen
collecting food and whatnot
but after awhile they start dying off
and the workers spend more and more of their energy and time
piling up the corpses of their fellow worker ants
but there are no more offspring,
because the queen is dead.
borax poisoning and all that.

but i dunno.. maybe let the ants do their thing without your chemical interference.
