My nephew has two so far...

I have had 2 in my lifetime. Both were on the same Par 3 Chip and putt course. The first one (I was about 11) I topped the ball off the T and the ball rolled about 85 yards down the fairway onto the green and into the cup. (Worlds longest hole in one putt)

The other I was in my late 20's and had been taking golf lessons for about a year. I was playing a draw and hit the ball with a PW off the Tee. The ball landed about a foot behind the cup and with backspin rolled back into the hole.

So many haters!! Why would he lie about something like this?

Most golfers never get a hole in one in their lives, and it is rare (12,500-1 for avg players), even among pros (2,500-1).

Each hole in one is a unique event, but do the math on how many rounds and holes would need to be played to achieve that.

When I was playing routinely I would get 1 or 2 per game.

Was playing in an industry sponsored tournament and almost won a small purple Mercedes Compressor that they parked by the Tee box. If you got a hole in 1 on that hole, you won the car.

I hit a perfect shot, dead in line with the pin, and it should have rolled right in. But they watered the shit out of that green and my ball hit the green and plugged into the mud that was supposed to be wonderful grass. They cheated! If they wre too cheap to give away a car, then just leave the car at the dealer.

I did win some golf crap, (wind shirt, jacket, other assorted crap), but didn't get the car. It was purple though. Who the hell wants a purple car?
