Who has viewed a real bible?
What do I consider the real bible?
The real bible is not the KJV. Sorry- not sorry.
It just isn't. I know that may make you uncomfortable... kinda like telling you 80-140 nm particles can't be filtered with a Chinese made N95 or cloth face bikini. <- If that's you, this question isn't for you.

I'd really like to get my eyes on a 3-400 AD roman/benzo/ottoman/Turkish version from the worshippers who hid in underground cities and caves near Ankara...

Anybody know where I can find a copy of the 1611 translation into Latin?

I am open to any version that contains 80 or more books.

Green and a thank you to anybody that can help.

***update*** 4/22/22 I need to research the posts I've received so far. I may not comment again for a couple days, but I will share my thoughts on what you sent.

The truth is out there, and I shall acquire whatever I'm destined to.

Tyndale was then strangled and burned at the stake. Horribly, Tyndale's death was sentenced by the king who would eventually legalize the translation of the Bible into vernacular English

Andrew Gabriel Roth has a pretty decent New Testament. It's an Aramaic to English version. It's expensive to buy but pdfs are available.

I'm still looking for a good version of the Old Testament. Maybe a Geneva Bible.

If you want authentic, you need the online Qumran scrolls in ancient Aramaic and early Israeli language, for source OT.

For NT, you can view images of the earliest docs, which were almost entirely written in ancient slang Greek, although one or two are written in "high Greek".

Or, alternatively, you can go to the blue letter bible website and view each word/character individually, and see how multiple sources translate each word, such as Strong's lexicon. (It utilizes others, as well.)

Yet another source is ancient language expert Michael Heiser. He has a vast knowlege of 2nd century BC language references, and helps you make sense of idioms and turns of phrase we no longer use. He also teaches you about the cultural references the writers are making, which a straight read will never give you, unless you understand the background. He has a ton of vids and Naked Bible podcasts on youtube.

Wow...nevermind haha. That's gonna be a hard txt to come by if it's authentic. Best I could recommend is the Jerusalem translation, but you're way beyond what I anticipated. The Epics of Gilgamesh are compelling. Sumerian texts. Interesting inquiry. I'm curious, do you think human primates are the only intelligent biological creatures out there? Not gonna derail you're thread, I'm just curious. Just ignore the question if you don't want to say. 5 *s for an initiative to advance human intellect.

Re: Who has viewed a real bible?
"The great discovery is that the Bible is a message system: it's not simply 66 books penned by 40 authors over thousands of years, the Bible is an integrated whole which bears evidence of supernatural engineering in every detail."

"The Bible is an integrated message system, the product of supernatural engineering. Every number, every place name, every detail every jot and tittle is there for our learning, our discovery, and our amazement. Truly, our God is an awesome God."

[link to www.khouse.org]

"Since God has the technology to create us in the first place, He certainly has the technology to get a message to us. But how does He authenticate His message?

It may seem old-fashioned to take the Bible seriously, especially in our modern age of scientific discoveries and multicultural emphases. It has become politically correct to deny the existence of absolutes and to deny the involvement of our Creator in our affairs. And yet there are many intellectual and well-informed people who take the Bible very seriously—who even regard its origin as supernatural. Why?

My own personal background has been in the information sciences—computers, communication, cryptography, and the like. With graduate degrees in engineering and business, and having spent a 30-year career in the corporate boardrooms of over a dozen high-tech enterprises, I have become most profoundly impressed by two astonishing discoveries:
1.The 66 books which we call the Bible constitute a highly integrated message system. What makes this so astonishing is the fact that they were penned by more than forty different people over a period of several thousand years!1 Yet we now discover that virtually every detail of the Biblical text evidences a highly skillful integrated design from cover to cover. In fact, every word, every place name, every detail was apparently placed there (in the original) deliberately as part of an overall intricate plan.
2.What is even more astounding is that it can be demonstrated that the origin of this intricate design is from outside of our dimension of space and time."

"A Message of Extraterrestrial Origin"

"We are in possession of this collection of 66 books we call The Bible, written by more than 40 authors over several thousands of years, yet we now discover it is an integrated message from outside our time domain. It repeatedly authenticates this uniqueness by describing history before it happens. And this discovery totally shatters our traditional concepts of reality."

Your God isn’t big enough. He uses everything. There is all you need to know to get saved in most Bibles, except the cults.
