Survival, NOT so difficult if it all turns to crap?

I've been watching an old BBC show from 1975 which depicts what would happen to people if suddenly everyone dies bar maybe 2,000 in the UK. It is very unrealistic.

They start fighting over supplies almost immediately.

Get real, there would be shit loads of everything and enough petrol to last for twenty years.

Thinking about how that would pan out in my country, in New Zealand, there would be hundreds of cows and sheep per person, if not thousands, and you could never eat them fast enough to keep up with much they were breeding.

First thing you would have to do is open all the farm gates so they could get to enough grass because you are not managing them and then shoot dogs from dawn to dusk so they they don't multiple too fast and eat them faster then you can and become a dangerous hazard.
