Even if you sell your relative a house for $1 right before going bankrupt, they can go back five years and reverse any asset sale and confiscate it. Don’t fuck with stuff like this. Just do the right thing. Dummy should have created LLC’s and Trusts, putting his entire family in the Trust with a trustworthy party as head of the Trust. Should have done this in the beginning. So sad many never consult with a asset protection expert BEFORE they get into trouble. There are so many legal, responsible ways to protect your $$ and assets. |
