I put a gun in my mouth a couple times.

I know life is worth living. Just need to find it again.

- Ok, so the whole thing started you happily minding your own business, and somebody SLAMMED into you! There's nothing you could have done about - THAT WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN!

Then in the face of difficulties - which were meant for you - you gave up. But just THINK - the fact that you survived IS A MIRACLE! God forgave you for what you did - and wanted you to go on!

Seriously, you have a HUGE purpose in your life, you need to find it and embrace it. Jesus Christ is probably the most forgiving person to ever have walked on earth - get close to him.

And just a related story, a friend of mine had a father who committed suicide due to financial difficulties. He had a huge life insurance/trustfund/whatever, which he knew would pull the family out of difficulties, so he did it.

My friend is financially still well off because of it - but I've heard him say at least a dozen times how he wishes he would be poor like a rat, but he would still have his father.

You got your second chance OP, I can't say how happy I am for you.

First, I just want to thank you for your humbleness in posting this story. I believe He will use it to reach more people than you can ever imagine and likely save lives (both physically AND spiritually).

Second, I want to personally thank you. The Lord used your quote above to speak to me about something I have been wrestling hard with and beating myself up about. I want so badly to be perfected in Him and not be so bound to the flesh, yet fail constantly. Through you, He reminded me that HE is the author and finisher of our faith as well as our great healer. I have never been a patient person, so maybe part of it is also Him teaching me to be patient.

God bless you and your family. I pray for your continued healing in all ways and that you will continue to reach others with your testimony.

Life is tough that is for sure! I went through my own dark night of the soul in 2019.

I worked as a Crisis Support Worker on a Crisis Line after my partner spiralled down into Clinical Depression years earlier so had an understanding of what was happening to me.

While on the Crisis Line I learnt that when you are in that dark tunnel you have to just put one foot in front of the other and get through life minute by minute. Eventually you come out of the tunnel into the light. It may take a week, a month, 6 months, a year but you will come out.

So, during that time I practised what I preached. I kept going and when it got unbearable I rang a Helpline. It took 6 months for me to come out to the light.

It takes immense bravery, strength and resilience to keep going but in the coming days and years you will have moments of joy and happiness and you will be glad you are still alive.

In your case I believe you have definitely been protected and saved because you have more to do here on Earth.

Reading this... getting an understanding of your story... I can not explain how hard this hit me. This is a legit tears streaming down my face while typing moment.

I have been down. For some time now. Contemplating an escape. I have failed my family in so many ways. The guilt I feel is overwhelming. I have never went any farther than just bad thoughts. But I have been super close.

He is a true friend, I have no one else, like Him.

He provides those things that humans can not touch.

When my thinking is off, he gives me good thoughts, when I need to forgive, He informs me of the situation, and I agree with Him and it's done.

He just requires that kind of naked honesty that doesn't hide, because it truly doesn't believe He is a friend, so when He asks me something I have to tell Him very bluntly, how I feel.

Yeah unfortunately it didn't work. That's what makes it even more terrify. Its hard enough as it is but the idea that you could survive and be alive even worse off than before, is a frightening thought that makes it so im forced to just live miserably instead for the rest of my life
