I'm beginning to think we are Living on a Prison Planet

There have been many Buddhist Masters that have said that earth is a "hell-world"- a place where negativity outweighs positivity.

Buddhists don't talk about it much, but it is considered over of the most difficult aspects of Buddhism to master - the sense of hopelessness and despair that come from the realization that earth is a hell-world.

It was invaded and hijacked a long time ago.

Edit to add: Buddhists struggle to master the sense if hopelessness and despair that comes from the realization that earth is a hell-world, AND that this particular lifetime (not life in general, just THIS lifetime) is completely devoid of meaning and purpose.

I think it's closer to a (human) chicken farm than to a prison planet.

The latter implies that we're being held captive by somebody who has similar (that is, not that much different) respect for our lives as we do... and that just doesn't seem to be the case.

The former implies that our captors hold the same value for our lives as we hold for the lives of poultry that we breed for consumption. That theory fits the observations much more closely, and is definitely the one that I'd be going with.

In fact, not just Earth, but this whole "reality" (or "universe") fits the former, chicken-farm theory much better than any other theory.

Everything (energy) is made to consume everything else (energy), and entropy itself forces everything into frenzied consumption of everything else.

It's exactly like that quote from Alice in Wonderland:

"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place [i.e. it takes frenzied consumption of energy just to fight off the entropy]. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that [i.e. you must be traveling faster than the speed of light, heat dissipation being the fastest possible entropic process, to get out of it]!"

More or less, yet the keys to unlocking the proverbial door lie within each of us.

More of a self-imposed prison planet with a managerial class of sorts doing everything possible to keep us distracted and ignorant of this realization.

I don't know man, I find meaning and purpose everyday within my kids, my wife, my little tree company, and working my little plot of land.

Interesting video. I also remember reading somewhere that the Van Allen belt was like the electrified fence of a prison keeping us in. Combined with gravity we're certainly being held back from "escaping". Doesn't mean we can't, obviously, but it isn't easy. More major props to Elon Musk.

The chicken farm analogy is good. If you think about it, we're simply sentient beings struggling to survive. I've thought how small we are in the universe, like ants are so small to us we are also incredibly small in perspective. Perhaps ants have multi-faceted little lives also. Even cells and germs. Who knows?!

Joe Rogan said something about this being a prison planet. The fact that we rely on money and need to work to get it to survive makes us subservient.

Mostly, I had strong prompts to say that we used to be able to come and go as we please.

the planet itself is not the prison. the augmented container layered over it is.

we are entangled in that augmentation through a variety of, now indoctrinated, mechanisms, not the least of which is our very language.

the warden has a parasitic reach into all our systems because they are all built upon that augmented foundation, giving the warden a backdoor into everything.


because the prison system is merely an augmentation, it is built upon the original source container/reality, therefore we can tap into the source in order to supersede the limitations of the prison layer.


the mass distraction is an ongoing attempt to keep us from becoming conscious of our connection to the source code.
