The argument for electric cars is that batteries are more efficient.

Elon musk said a plant can use coal for energy at a 70% efficiency rate. Says cars that are gas driven is only like 30% efficient.

Not saying I agree with it all but this is what they believe.

Honest question: If it hasn't already been done, can we not pour a ton a money into developing vehicles that run on saline water, surely there is a way to make this happen. Fuel evaporates and returns to the earth...

I'm in north Texas and we use biodiesal and solar farms for our municipality. We also have EV power stations all throughout town.

I owned 2 electric vehicles (the Leaf and the Volt). The Chevy Volt I would often tell people that it runs on Electric, Gas, Nuclear and Coal. My electric grid in my area is roughly 50% nuclear and 50% coal. So my "green" car used every form of "dirty" energy to move me around.

You’re all missing a simple yet important point. We can change the fuel source, for the car we already own. It’s happening. Nothing happens overnight. Yes the lithium industry is shady, but we’re all typing these posts on laptops or phones etc with lithium batteries, and heaps of other rare earths. Bunch of hypocrits.
Electric driven vehicles are awesome, some big benefits. Lots of change and improvements to happen yet but it is very early days. They’re not perfect, nothing is.

Go drive a Model 3 and tell me you don’t want one, they’re fucking amazing. I’m seriously thinking about one, with 42 panels on my roof it makes reasonable sense.

Once the reverse engineered non-human UAP free energy devices are released to the public, the grid will run clean free energy. AI for example driverless cars will start taking over peoples jobs. Eventually we will need a social credit score since we will no longer work for money… we will work for fun. Like in Star Trek. We will be in a moneyless society where we no longer need to be paid because the AI will be able to provide all basic goods and services to us for free.
