Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79984019 The judges gave Canelo the first four rounds against Bivol. He won one of those rounds. Bivol won 10-2, judges gave Canelo 5 rounds. One more round to Canelo and it would have been a draw. Canelo got beat up. Boxing is a joke, and I love the sport. Boxing is ... like everything else in life ... subject to corruption and pay-offs/bribery. I have seen it for decades in the sport of boxing. Hagler got robbed in '87. Meldrick Taylor got robbed in 1990 with Richard $teele... GGG got robbed in the Canelo-GGG first fight. Yes, the judges DO score in favor of the big Mexican money that typically rolls into Vegas for the top Mexican fighters. That money speaks volumes - normally. Had those 3 judges on Sat night merely been 'B-grade' judges ..... Canelo would have won on Sat night! In Canelo's defense (sort of) ... he did throw the harder punches on Sat night. Unfortunately Bivol threw MORE punches - exactly as I expected. Yes, I thought Bivol won. But maybe only by 1-3 rounds (I didn't score it round-per-round this time). |
