Remember what happened at Lake Megantic (I think that was the name) in Canada. That said, from what I understand, the Keystone pipeline is of no benefit to Americans. It was to move Canadian tar sands to Houston for refining and then would get shipped out for the global market. Canada doesn't want to build their own refineries. Tar sands are also the worst form of crude, for many reasons. CF Industries warns that, “railroad-mandated shipping reductions [will] result in nitrogen fertilizer shipment delays during the spring application season and that it [will] be unable to accept new rail sales involving Union Pacific for the foreseeable future.” This means that Union Pacific is essentially dropping fertilizer shipments and grain shipments all across America. Put another way, America’s food infrastructure is being deliberately shut down. You cannot just pull it out of the food supply without something to take it's place. Do you understand that all of major genocides were comprised mainly of starvation? The communists did it in the USSR, Mao in China, Pol Pot in Cambodia. This is the "green agenda" - no fossil fuels and no food for the majority of the planet while a select few are well provided for. No, those chemicals are not NEEDED whatsoever to grow food. That is a con and lie. Do you run a commercial farm? Fuck off with that stupid shit. One doesn't need to be a commercial farmer to know you don't need poisons to grow food. Is it going to hurt those commercial farmers bottom line, yes.
