As it stands the current mutations are only serious hazards to children.
This is perfectly in line with the parameters of the original virus modified for the vaccine, it only infected children.

That's also why the J&J vaccine would NEVER be approved for children under 12.

Could it continue to mutate and cause adult hepatitis?

Possibly.

It certainly will continue to mutate and it's just a roll of the die in the wrong direction to cause it.
The unknown is what effects the modification to the virus in the production of the vaccine platform have on mutation.
