Solar flares can and do effect human health, for instance a solar flare and resultant CME killed over 10 thousand people in Europe . |

A flare rated at X1 or higher near mid day is extremely dangerous. "They" will tell you that radiation from the sun cannot penetrate the atmosphere and they would be lying, the reason being people would avoid bad space weather just like any other kind of bad weather and not go to work, Profitable to lie. The next time you hear someone say gamma and x rays cannot penetrate the atmosphere , ask them why they can penetrate your body but the light you can see from the sun cannot. It is plain common sense x and gamma LIGHT WAVES are more penetrating than visible light. |
