I haven't watched Coach Red Pill video channel, but understand he was as contemptible as most people who set themselves up as a life coach.

His Russia biased commentary on the conflict in Ukraine is very long winded but of some value. The fact that he speaks neither Russian or Ukrainian though he's lived there some time, considerably diminishes his credibility.

There are countermeasures that the U.S. can take that can lessen some of these items. First, the Midwest has lots of farmland, and we can become more focused on growing our own food here. We have the capacity to really be food independent right here without foreign involvement in food production. A bigger concern he didn't mention is fertilizer, as Russia supplies a lot of fertilizer used in farming.

America has a lot of really smart people. Very entrepreneurial, very creative, hard working, intelligent, practical, ingenious. They are still here. Don't ever doubt America's resiliency and fortitude.

Trump also proved we can become energy independent in a relatively short amount of time. Gas prices could plummet if we returned to Trump-era energy policies. This is more a matter of political will. If we are really interested in green energy, we need an interim phase where we keep oil going while we transition.

In short, I think we could potentially insulate ourselves from some of these challenges if we act smart and use common sense. But we are definitely in higher risk times. Maybe this is what Biden meant when he made repeated mention of a dark winter.
