PC - Fortnite, WOW and a few others.

The problem with the PC Master Race is buying a PC with a 8 thread I7, 2080 Ti, 16gb of ram with a 1tb ssd for the price of a Series X...

Us console peasants may have to live in arcade Xbox land but our Series X (If I had one....) is way more powerful than the typical Steam Machine...

I have a Series S, Funstation 3 and 4. The PS Classic Mini as well as the C64 Mini as well as a Wii U and a whole bunch of handhelds.

The thing that sucks for me is my Series S is more powerful than my old I7 and will be more powerful than my refurbished 8700 with my puny 1650 in it.

The irony being I paid way more for both my I7s than I paid for the Series S.

PC is much more than just playing games tho, unlike consoles. also consoles are usually on a tv with a couch setting, while pc gaming is 'active' at a desk with keyboard/mouse.

i get you tho. my pc is probably 3 times the price of a console
i think my 2080 was more expensive than when the new consoles came out. thats without the pc it goes in to, the speakers, mouse, keyboard, headset, 2 ips, 144, 1440 monitors etc.

but its all about what you love and are willing/able to afford.

i pray for people like you to somehow receive a 3080TI by surprise. you deserve to be playing combat simulator :)


but! just to compare it. i upgrade single parts of my pc every few years. others have bought 4 different consoles in the same time. or maybe even 8 because some have xbox and ps

and i obviously dont have to pay huge prices or monthly costs for pc games.

i think console gaming looks cheaper but overall its probably not in the long term.

I just play old games on the PC with emulators - have a PS2 and a PS3, but they're stored. I like the old stuff. It's not pretty or flashy, but decent gameplay, which is all I'm after. I'm too old and uncoordinated for most modern games and I'm not going to upgrade or buy a new comp before I finish the games I've got, which is a bunch. The last time I upgraded for a game was getting a pentium-class CPU so I could play Diablo. I can still play Xenosaga on my old i5 laptop with ePSXe, so I'm happy.

I'll have to take some pics. It has lots of lights like that one.

Just finished Sniper Elite 4 on hard mode. Thinking of playing some of the Shadowrun or Hitman remakes.

I do the steam when it suits me.
Ubisoft when it doesn't.

I still play WoW.

I buy every expansion, but only drop in briefly to do current content and storyline.

Every couple of patches or so I'll do a deep dive and actually tell my long time guild I want in, and will commit, and put in time to do CE and raid.

Its actually easier than ever now...

mythics get you raid ready gear, you can easily find rando raids to fill gaps, and even PvP is super accessable now...

I got the priest gear last season because it looked so cool, and Im currently hitting up the raids on my DK to eventually get the legendary axe.

I find MMOs like WoW give the most bang for the buck with the least time investment, if ALL your looking for is content, storyline, and fun playing with others...

Sure you can sink your whole life into it...but you really dont have to nowadays.

Anyways DF is literally filler till we get to see the Trilogy they have planned. While the lore is quite silly sometimes, It's given me a tonm of enjoyment over the years for a minimal price.

Now that ists easier than ever to catch up, I just scoot along and enjoy a couple days a week of fun, and when I have the time...I push hard and get some stuff done.

Wish there were alternative MMOs...but there just isnt unfortunately.

AND you get to follow all the sexual harrasment/lawsuits/etc that plague Blizzard.

Fun Times.
