Up to TEN MILLION Americans may suffer from rare Alpha-gal Syndrome, which causes sufferers to develop an allergy to meat
Around 3% of Americans - or around 10 million people - suffer from AGS, which causes a person to develop an allergy to red meat
The condition often arises as a result of a tick bite, and expert explains that since the tick saliva resembles red meat cells, the immune system attacks it
Many people who have the condition are unaware, as they may not realize the symptoms they are feeling are a result of the meat itself
It could take 12 hours for symptoms of the allergy to appear in a person, making it hard for them to connect the food to the symptoms

Up to ten million Americans may be suffering from an allergy to red meat triggered by tick bites, estimates suggest — but many cases go undiagnosed because it can take up to 12 hours for symptoms to develop.

Alpha-gal Syndrome is normally sparked by bites from the lone star tick — identified by the white spot on its back — which lives in wooded areas across the eastern United States. But bites from other ticks may also cause it.

Dr Jonathan Oliver, a public health expert at the University of Minnesota, told DailyMail.com that the bug's saliva contains molecules that appear to be similar to those from red meat. It means that when the immune system attacks the saliva, it also develops cells that target molecules from red meat — triggering the allergy.

Most tick bites do not lead to the condition, Oliver said, but he warned that getting bitten more often raises the risk of developing the condition.

I'm one of those individuals! I took me 2 years to finally get a blood test from my allergist to find out what is causing me to lie in bed for a week as if I had the flu. Rashes everywhere. One time, straight to the hospital, could not breath and could see my heart pounding on my chest. Loss of bodingly function.
It sucks!!

Hmmm, you know theyve been toying with the idea of modifying humans to become intolerant of meat (see 16 mins on the video below). Is this something sudden that's happened? If so, where on earth could that have come from I wonder?....

could it. What crap. Better living through chemicals?

I know of four people that have this in Central Virginia. They allegedly got it from the Texas Lonestar tick. I heard something a few weeks ago that they’re finding other varieties of tick can carry and spread this. My guess is the vegan/climate change/sustainability/government funded laboratories have been doing their due diligence to get this to spread around more efficiently. I’m still waiting to see what happens with the modified mosquitoes that they’ve been releasing.

it was a professor at UVA that discovered it and does alot of research.

I have friends in VA and they never had a lone star tick there for years.

I like the Kansas lab theory above .... or plum island.

if you dont know PLum island is across the channel from Lyme CT. and deer swim the channel from plum to Lyme all the time

for those who dont know , look up Eric Traub, Nazi micro biologist who worked at plum island with operation paperclip and Bourgdorferi ?? the spirochete that causes Lyme . that is an interesting rabbit hole

hmmm, kansas and kansas... different tick borne illness

Bourbon virus is believed to be spread through the bite of an infected tick. The virus was discovered in 2014 and named for Bourbon County, Kansas where it was first identified. A limited number of Bourbon virus disease cases have been reported in the Midwest and southern United States.

A Missouri woman died June 23 after contracting a rare tick-borne illness called Bourbon virus. Tamela Wilson, 58, was the first person to test positive for the virus in Missouri, and is only the fifth confirmed case since it was identified in 2014, CBS reported.

Re: Up to TEN MILLION Americans may suffer from rare Alpha-gal Syndrome, which causes sufferers to develop an allergy to meat
The entire Appalachian Mountain range was intentionally seeded with lone star ticks in an aerial operation in the early months of 2015. With a little insider help I could probably confirm the exact dates of the operation. I've confirmed with many people via social media that this isn't isolated to my property alone. Multiple people from Alabama to Roanoke have told me a similar story to mine.

This species was rare, basically non-existent for the 45 years of my life prior to this bio-attack. I grew up in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains and common dog ticks never gave me any trouble. Me and my friends would just pick them off, not much in the way of lasting effects.

I can't yet confirm but strongly suspect I witnessed the operation in February 2015. By the following summer, the Lone Star tick transformed my oldest son's attitude about going into the woods.

After a severely tormenting episode involving over 100 bites from nymph stage Lone Star ticks, he had itchy lesions that didn't completely heal for 4 months. As an 11 year old he loved the woods. Even now 6 years later he is obsessed with thinking about ticks if he has to walk through a small section of woods.

When I find one attached I know it will mean an itchy lesion for followed by a hard granuloma under the skin for many additional months. Permethrin coated socks and shoes are an unpleasant aesthetic but part of my routine for time in the woods.

The desired intent and implications are obvious:
Move away from the woods.
Don't hunt.
Get Alpha-gal allergy and become vegetarian.
Other diseases may be in development to be spread via ticks.

I grew up in that range and we never had anything like you said but dog ticks and RMSF was the big worry. Now it is Lyme alpha bourbon heartland and the asian ticks arrived a few years back as well!

i fully believe it was an operation and as mentioned above the "former" Na ZI scientist Eric Traub worked with ticks as vector for disease.

We (my daughter and others I know with it) are in central North Carolina, which started having cases early on.

Did UVA start the research because it is prevalent in the mid-Atlantic states?

Re: Up to TEN MILLION Americans may suffer from rare Alpha-gal Syndrome, which causes sufferers to develop an allergy to meat
It sucks!!
I so truly miss having a juicy steak!

Bill Gates is waiting with open arms, ready to manufacture fake meat for the masses. I'm sure he had no part in this, wink wink.

Funny how our research universities start studying diseases before people actually start catching those diseases.

Y'all should look up all the gain-of-function research done at US universities
