Shaved, tattooed, bearded, bald, butch cut, braided, long haired, pink, blue, green, yellow and purple. They are all different and have one thing in common, humans in lifestyle choices. All can have a great day and be themselves. In adult terms, they define themselves.

Politics are due to association. Most are individualists and had little part in the Civil Rights Movement. A lot of them openly spoke against it the second they thought marriage was secure. People who do not associate with people they identify with politically have a weak coalition, as compared to say a racial minority. So those with other identities tend to vote with those they are most invested in when they come into conflict with their sexuality. From what I read, there were many years of opportunities but those would have inconvenienced people who were better positioned in society outside of their sexuality, and they got swept under the rug. Christians, being a much more cohesive political bloc, were able to outmaneuver the group since it is palpable that there is no real feeling of a common destiny there between the members of LGBTQTI++ outside of what a college professor might assert. Brought it on themselves, really.

Politics and rights come from association. Everything else is just on paper. You don't have my back and I don't have yours. It's pretty easy to figure out that this is the way it works in the real world. And I can't think of a worse reason to trust someone than that you both want to get laid. Can you?
