It's not fake. The black edge is due to the phase angle, that's the terminator line on the moon. Now answer my question, are the clouds moving or not? Why are you avoiding my question? Can't you tell if they're moving or not?

Many of these doorways have been posted by NASA IN THE PAST. They usually photoshop them out. Often times, they only half erased the doorways. You could still see the doorways because the "photoshopper' wasn't talented. This image will be removed from the site.

Geologists say the opening resulted from faulting and fracturing in 4 billion year old sedimentary rock, formed from what was windblown sand. This was then submerged under water and finally buried by water deposited sediments.

It's a real opening; three feet high according to the scientists who were approached for an explanation.

It's not faulting according to my own experience (27 years in the field) and education, with two degrees.

I don't know what it could be, or how it could have formed by simple erosion of fossil dunes.

Never saw anything like it, ot even read about a doorway like opening that had been observed in such sediments.

It doesn't go back more than a couple of feet. Maybe it's fallen in, or most likely was left unfinished. Maybe that's why it was photographed and placed on the NASA site in the first place. There's no record of it's existence, if you get my drift.

I see it differently, the shadow that appears to be the doorway is really the shadow of the rock at the top of the doorway and the rock overhangs and the picture is taking at just the right angle we can barely tell the rock is protruding, pointing to the camera lense and the shadow it casts creates the visual it's a doorway.

This is a curious picture since nature doesn't like straight lines
