Holy Hell.

Saw this yesterday, did NOT realize it was the Alert Bay Namgis school. For context, until July of last year I lived on an island just adjacent to Cormorant (Alert Bay) and know people that have kids there.

This community is at the North end of Vancouver Island, and the majority of people there working are still in resource-related jobs (fallers, logging operators, mining, fishing, etc.) These are NOT, as a rule, your tree-hugging liberals.

I'm shocked that there hasn't been a SECONDARY report about a sad accident happening on a whale watching tour.

A lesbian couple moved to our community up there a few years ago - nice enough, no big deal. It's an island, lots of ppl try to escape.

Well, one was a teacher's aide, started working at the K-5 in town. Let's just say they moved shortly after that.
