User ID: 77504359 United States 05/13/2022 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We had one in South Jersey in late June 2012, and none of us had ever heard of a derecho. We woke up to the wildest thing we'd ever seen, as if a thousand tornadoes had come through. It took well over a week to restore power most places, and some people longer they had to abandon their homes because it wasn't just restoring the power ... all the poles were splintered ... even the ones in the storage lots ... It was a huge mess - everything was indiscriminately splattered in areas where there is a very high population density. Several people including children camping in a state park died from falling trees. Hoping those folks are able to recover quickly and have all the help and supplies they need. When the shit hits the fan and the end is just nigh, will you cry out to Heaven? Will you lie down and die? Not me, my dear one - THIS IS MY SACRED LIFE - to no one nor no thing I'll surrender. For how does one know where when dead she will go, or if sweet Mother Earth he'll remember? - Sug |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81893686 A friend of mine called and said the next town over from her took damage from a tornado (in SD). Funny about that is she was here in FL last month when hailstorm totaled out BOTH her and husbands cars! |

The thunderstorms have been tracking south to north all week blocked from moving west to east by that pesky coastal low. Today they finally ease up but continue northward into Canada with lingering effects like flash-flooding in OK. Yesterday was epic for high winds with 55 significant (75 mph+) preliminary wind gust reports. That's number 2 on the list and one of the top 4 in just the last 2 years. https://twitter.com/_/status/1524939302022500352 |

Bump Nobody wants to know that HAARP was simply an enhanced spying tool for our government. Enhanced from Cold War DEW-line spying. There is way too much severe weather globally now for anyone to have that much time to orchestrate it all. My two cents.. Last Edited by Humanitarianlike on 05/13/2022 04:29 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80320766 I think he's in Washington. This hit in SD, MN and NW I recently read he'd moved to SD, or one of the Dakotas. Hope he's okay. And that's probably why a friend of mine who was flying today was saying it was a very bumpy ride. Those are some strong winds....they kinda-sorta rival our humidity dropping to 3% here in NM yesterday. I've never seen a humidity recording so low, save for it was 2% in Albuquerque. I was wondering if the whole State was going to spontaneously combust. 100 mph winds, though....that's some serious windage, with shit flying everywhere. Just 70 mph winds there was crap soaring through the air. You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. -Buckminster Fuller ...I adapt to the unknown, under wandering stars I've grown, by myself, but not alone... I've been trying to tell people for the longest time now that a greenhouse effect is not, in fact, a liberal plot spearheaded by Al Gore. What liberals intend to do BECAUSE of climate change is another story... but it's real, and it's happening. |

It's only getting worse too. The winds, the fires. Everything. |
