How many 80 year old people do you personally know ?

To be fair, they have these old folk on like 20 pills to keep them alive...

My tread is only to show there aren't near as many old folk left..They seem to be checking out sooner. And How can we have Public servants able to run a country in there 80s. Just seems crazy.

My oldest sister and some cousins and others also didn't take the vaccine.
I'm 71 growing on two, the terrible twos I never grew out of.

I think people really missed the frickin point of this thread.

There most certainly needs to be an age limit in All Government positions.

Literally all of my Aunts, Uncles, Mother and Father turn 80 last year, this year and next year.
We live to 90 to 100+ in my family and no one has died since 1998.

They'll eventually get it. They love there old family members and Thats great. Most older folks are wise and great to talk to. But they dont want them balancing there check books I'd say. Surely know they can't run a nation.

My great aunt is 97.
My grandmother died at 93
My great uncle was 96
His wife was 93
My great great aunt made it past 100
A couple of my grandma's sisters lived past 80.
My second cousin is in her 80's

ummm... maybe 7 or 9... know a few ten or twelve in their 90’s tho.

I have a 90 year old Lady friend and she is all there in the mind and I am just crazy about her! Met her on the internet!
She was a child when her mother took her to see the original KING KONG from 1933!

My mom 84. She does her own shopping still.

My neighbor is in her 90's.

She has heart issues but looks fine!

I know people that we never discuss age, but

it's between 70-80 but again, some are very healthy

for their age and look great!

I see lots of elderly people over where I live in AZ.

It's mostly a retirement type of people over here.

It's mellow...

A Sister & Brother-In-Law.

imagine being in ur 20's & having a 80'year old dad veteran from Vietnam and, taking care of him instead of throwing him in a home & also receiving visits from old uncles/aunts as well around his age attending them all, being sometimes extra soft spoken, slow and mellow not to scare them or make them angry, (yes veterans explode in rage sometimes as ptsd) on top of this having society judge u because ur young and extremely patient even in the way of talking & explaining things just for everyone to just think and assume ur just being an a-hole cynical witty millennial...... so glad OP made this thread... I feel sometimes completely left out and 100% disconnected 24/7 from ppl around my age... even folks in their 40 act so entitled because their parents are young around 60 and nobody knows how to respect or act anymore....

Term limits would probably fix that.

My Step-Grandmother was 103 when she passed a few years back. My mom just turned 80 last november and just negotiated selling her mobile home and we bought an off the grid Solar and Well water 4.6 acre place in The canyons of southern california where its rare to find these kinds of places. She waited til 8:30 so i could co-sign the check return from Escrow and she took off and drove 60 miles to Tustin to hang out at her younger sisters house who is 79.

My great-aunt is 102.

My dad and my uncle are both 80. Dad has had continual problems since he took 2 shots of the poison though.

Health and genetics obviously matter. I know a few people in their 80s, no problems with mobility (still doing yardwork, still driving ok), no problems with mental functioning. They wouldn’t be able to chase down anyone, but they’re fine for daily functioning and are well-versed on current events.

My grandmother is 92 and lives in a big house by herself. She was outside weed eating 2 days ago. Only time she sits still is to watch Let's Make A Deal. She watches Price Is Right while standing and cooking in the kitchen.
