I don't know when I woke up to it but it feels like it's been about all my life that I've hated the idea of pets and held resentment towards people who keep them.
Pets are nothing but emotional slaves - a slave kept for amusement or to not feel lonely.
If you have an animal, it should be for work and nothing else, not "companionship" and not for your emotions.

For what it's worth, I'm not necessarily opposed to those that hunt themselves to provide for themselves and their families. This is WORLDS different than the way we're collectively both treating and allowing for the treating of animals.
