I'm in a similar situation, as it would cost me money to go back into the office. Much more than what they pay. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82795844 I'd imagine people need to estimate how much GAS will cost them per month in determining if they can afford to commute to the office every day. In the US gas has doubled (I'm not talking about diesel). So, if it costed you $80 a month, it is now $160 (not to forget looking at additional costs like food that goes up because gas used in transport goes up - which leaves one with less for gas). The target gas price by end of 2022 is ~ $8.00 per gallon in the US. So if you've got a 20 gallon tank that's $160 for one fill up...then factor in 1 fill-up per week and a commuter is looking at $640 per month. |
