People don't get tattoos to impress you

When it becomes unpopular and totally uncool and dated, and it will, people will be desperate to have them removed. Those who went so far as to get full body and facial tattoos will really have it hard. They might even become social outcasts.

Why do people get them?

I agree that they look terrible, and that 9 times out of 10 they are an early warning display that the person is emotionally or mentally broken in some way.

However, I do know someone who does tatoos for amputees and women who have had mastectomies and such. In that case, their wounds are clearly visible, and adding a bit of decoration can make them feel more confident or it can be used to add humor, so that other people feel more comfortable interacting with them.

So, are tattoos always a negative thing?

No.

Why do you wear the clothes that you wear or the shoes on your feet? Because you like them. Why do you drive the particular car that you drive? Because you liked it

Body art has been a major part of human history since at least the stone age. It's a legitimate form of self expression and personal/cultural history for the souls that adorn them, not to mention having actual medicinal history as well.

Look for the beauty in the world instead of keeping on this habit offinding the bad in everything. You can teach yourself how to see the good and the beautiful. It's a shocking state of affairs when Christianity is now synonymous with violence and hate. After my husband died, I had to stop dating Christians. They were the weirdest, most twisted people I have met (apart from GLPers). So angry and aggressive and hate-filled. I'm sure they must have been infested with all kinds of demons. You have to go under the radar these days to find real Christians that work for justice for all and walk among those whom others slander and ignore.
