When we lived out in Montana we had a 500 gallon Propane tank. We also had a double barrel wood stove. (Montana Stove). Here in Pa when I bought my house the first thing I di was tear out the old oil furnace and install a Natural gas one. I saved so much $$ on that decision alone. Last year we had it replaced with a newer more efficient model. I still had the Highest winter heating bills in my 35 years here. (Nat Gas prices skyrocketed too. But Not as bad as Home heating oil)
