Considering we're not even a month into an outbreak where the average time span from infection to resolution/death is about 4 weeks, I wouldn't draw much comfort from this.

No deaths 350+ cases it's not even anywhere near as bad as the 1% West African varient, though it obviously spreads more easily.. so it's basically harmless bar the disfigurement, which we don't know what percentage of people get those.. so at this rate what's the panic Im missing?

When are we going to see doctors talking about what they're seeing and what treatment patients are getting, how they are responding, the severity and so on. I don't understand this, it could all be done to protect the patients identity, maybe a doctor each from 4-5 of the worst hit countries together....why the secrecy I don't get it, do they not want the world to know or, is it really not that bad..

Anyone else thinking this could be a set-up for NATO to go gung-ho on Russia?

Mass vaccinations are not yet needed to combat rising cases of monkeypox in Canada, a top health official said Thursday, but people should keep their distance from others to avoid catching the virus.

Deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo said because the virus “doesn’t discriminate” and can be spread through close contact with an infected person, people can avoid infection by “maintaining physical distance from people outside their homes.”
