Have always made a profit from selling our houses (in many states) the one that haunts me the most is the Cali house, sold it just before the market went nuts (20 yrs ago) could have made half a million more if we'd have waited 1 year.

I sold our house in MO and paid cash for what I'm in now, but I was willing to put in the sweat equity to make it what I want it to be. A lot of young people aren't willing to do that, they want perfect up front....never gonna happen
