Bought a home in 1976 for $27,500 in a very affluent, 1% area.
Sold it in 2020 for $460,000.00 and could have made more except I'm not greedy. That was the 2nd bid, the 3rd was for $475,000.000 but it was a lesbian couple that wouldn't have fit in on our street.
Bought a brand new home, new appliances, private court dead end, for $289,000.00.
No bills, pension, bought a new car. Life it good!
